Maybelline — Only Icons

Director: Bardia Zeinali | Photographer: Campbell Addy | ECD: Jason Moses

Inspired by the cultural resonance of documentaries like The Super Models, The Last Dance, and Beckham. Jason set out to create a campaign that captured that same sense of reverence and storytelling power. He wanted to elevate a beauty product launch into something that felt part of the cultural conversation, an ode to icons, both real and imagined.

Partnering with director Bardia Zaneli was a natural choice. Known for his ability to blend cinematic visuals with emotional depth, Zaneli helped bring the vision to life through a fictional documentary trailer that celebrated Instant Eraser Concealer as a modern icon in its own right. The result was a campaign that felt both epic and intimate, blurring the lines between beauty, culture and storytelling.

The work went on to be recognized with both Clio and Webby Awards, a testament to its creative ambition and cultural impact.
